Dress Fabric

This lovely new collection of 100% viscose are made in France and meet the Okeo-Tex standard 100. Its composition gives its a light, soft and floaty feel but for a viscose this fabric isn't overly fluid, its finish is quite similar to a cotton lawn which will make it easy to sew and beautiful to wear.

This painted stripe jersey has a great weight and print perfect for any jersey project and is definitely one of my favourite dress making fabrics of the moment, this fabric is perfect for whipping up simple tops, dresses and trousers.

This lovely recycled linen mix from our 'Eco Range' has so many great production features that help the fabric meet the Global recycled standard. Using 100% recycled fibres of both cotton and linen to create this cloth. 

This recycled cotton mix from our 'Eco Range' meets the Global recycled standard. Using 100% recycled fibres this fabric is made up of 87% cotton from recycling existing fabric/garments and cutting it back to cotton fibres and 13% polyester where the fibre is created from melting down plastic bottles to make the yarn.

Per Metre this fabric recycles 4 plastic bottles into polyester fibres and saves a significant amount of water and energy by using reworked fibres.

The fabric has a textured linen look finish and is perfect for curtains and home interiors projects.

Bamboo fibres are more environmentally friendly than many alternatives used to make towelling. It is also more absorbent and dries quicker than similar cotton towelling. One more added benefit is that bamboo is natural anti microbial.

This patterned 100% cotton is extremely popular with both dressmakers and crafters alike. It is a heavier weight than a lawn but more luxurious than your standard crafting cotton with its soft/smooth surface and 121gsm weight. Many of our customer use it for making blouses, shirts, childrens clothes and for quilting/craft projects too. Cotton poplin is lovely to sew with and holds its shape beautifully in garmets with gathers, pleats or puff sleeves for example. This poplin meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100 standards and free samples are available.

This is a new superior quality of water proof fabric. Not only is the Fabric waterproof but the face of the fabric, which has a lovely soft touch is water repellent to.

The soft drapey handle of this fabric makes it extremley easy to sew, even with a basic machine. Its texture not only lends itself to furnishing but makes it fabulous for dress making to!
