Since 1991, our original fabric emporium has been growing and developing. From what started as Steve's passion for recycling textiles and Marianne's business selling antique clothing, they then combined their skills and started selling their first fabrics by the metre. The small shop where it all began still makes up part of our store today!
With the addition of Emily & Lizzie, Steve and Marianne's daughters, and a fantastic team who are equally passionate about textiles - the family business continues to flourish and expand, offering our customers only the very best service.
I believe what makes our business unique is my family's love of textiles. Family holidays have included trips to find something new so I feel very confident that my daughters will fully embrace the aim of continuing to be The Original Fabric Emporium

The name Textile Express was initially developed from the idea of steam trains travelling around the globe and bringing back beautiful and exotic fabrics?
All our postage charges are calculated according to the weight and size of your parcel. We also take into consideration the type of fabric and whether it can be folded or needs to be sent on a roll.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes we do ship internationally. Please be aware your order may be subject to import duties on arrival.
How soon will my order be dispatched?
We aim to ship all weekday orders within 24hours, unless otherwise stated on the product listing. Orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched the following Monday.
Do you offer next day delivery?
We can arrange next day delivery on orders placed before 1pm, should you require an express delivery please call us on 01691 670562 to arrange this.
What is the 'made to measure' service?
We offer a bespoke made to measure service for curtains and roman blinds. Whichever style window dressing you choose, you can rest assured that they will be finished to the very highest standard. Should you require co-ordinating cushions or tie backs our talented team of sewers can also make these for you to complete the look.

What happens if I have a problem with my purchase?
It is very rare for an issue to occur but should you have a problem please call us on 01691 670562 or email [email protected] and one of the team will work to resolve it straight away.
Do you offer free samples?
We send out up to 5 samples free of charge. If you require more than 5 samples there is a £5.00 charge which can be redeemed against a subsequent order.
Can we visit your store?
Of course, we love it when our internet customers come to visit us in person. We are based in the lovely market town of Oswestry right on the border between England and Wales, not much more than an hour from Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester. Our store is in a 16th Century coaching inn and is made up of lots of different rooms filled to the brim with beautiful fabrics.
