Which Zafira fabric is right for your project?

With over 30 years of experience helping customers choose the right fabric, we’re here to point you in the right direction. All the fabrics within the Zafira collection would make stunning curtains and blinds. The softest, draping designs include Tropique and Orelia, whilst the strongest fabric for upholstery in the collection is Azra . Choose a bold foliage print as a statement at the window, then layer it with a matching texture on a chair or cushions for a coordinated look. Adding lining and interlining helps curtains hang better and protects the fabric from sunlight. If you’d like us to do the sewing, our made to measure service can make your curtains or blinds. Zafira is a fabric collection from iLiv with 11 designs in six colour stories. It combines bold foliage prints, embroideries, jacquards and woven textures, and includes fabrics for curtains, blinds and upholstery.

The collection includes both. Softer, draping designs are intended for curtains and blinds, and the more robust designs for upholstery. Check the product page for each design’s recommended use and durability rating before ordering.

Pick one statement design, such as a foliage print or embroidery, then pair it with a plainer woven texture in the same colour story. The six colour stories are designed to layer, so you can use several designs together in one room.

Lining is recommended for most curtains. It improves the drape, blocks more light, adds some insulation and protects the fabric from fading. Interlining adds extra weight and warmth.

It depends on your track or pole width, curtain drop and heading style, but curtains generally need around twice the track width in fabric for a full look. Pattern repeats can mean you need extra, so check the repeat on the product page or contact us and we’ll work it out with you.
