Dress Fabric

Double Gauze is a lovely lightweight pure cotton fabric with a relatively loosely weave and a crinkled natural texture making it exceptionally breathable with a gorgeous soft handle.

As the name suggests the fabric is made up of 2 layers of fine cotton similar to a light cheese cloth or muslin that are tacked together. The double layer reduces the transparency of the cloth and gives it a thicker more tactile finish. Our cloth is 125gsm and ideal for clothes, childrens/baby items, quilts etc.

This linen mix fabric is perfect for a variety for dressmaking projects as well as lightweight curtains. The fun design is printed on to a lovely soft drape base cloth perfect for dresses, blouses and skirts. By mixing linen and viscose together you get a luxuriously soft, drapey, absorbent, breathable and extremely comfortable fabric.

This stunning viscose fabric is perfect for a variety for dressmaking projects. Viscose is a super soft lightweight fabric which drapes beautifully and feels lovely to wear. It is perfect long floaty dresses and skirts as well as blouses.

This stunning linen mix fabric is perfect for a variety for dressmaking projects. The pretty watercolour pattern is printed on to a lovely soft drape base cloth perfect for dresses, blouses and skirts. By mixing linen and viscose together you get a luxuriously soft, drapey, absorbent, breathable and extremely comfortable fabric.

These simple, stylish fabrics are 100% cotton and are extremely popular with both dressmakers and crafters alike. With a soft, smooth handle and great drape this fabric is ideal for quilting, craft and clothing applications. Smooth finish 100% cotton prints in a weight perfect for both craft and clothing! It is a heavier weight than a lawn but more luxurious than your standard crafting cotton with its soft/smooth surface and 130gsm weight.

Many of our customers use it for making blouses, shirts, childrens clothes and for quilting/craft projects too. Cotton poplin is lovely to sew with and holds its shape beautifully in garments with gathers, pleats or puff sleeves for example.

This poplin meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100 standards, free samples are available. 

This lovely printed 100% viscose meets the Okeo-Tex standard 100. Its composition gives its a light, soft and floaty feel making it beautiful to wear.

This lovely silky satin is suitable for a variety of dressmaking and craft projects. The fabric has an extremely soft drape making it perfect for clothes which require a floaty cloth such as dresses, skirts, and blouses. Weight 95gsm.

Lawn is a tightly woven cotton with a high thread count which creates a durable yet super soft cloth perfect for dressmaking.
