Dress Fabric

Boiled wool gets its name from the production technique used to produce the fabric. It is easy to sew as it will not move around and does not fray. 

We would recommend using boiled wool to make coats and jackets but it can also be used to make skirts and structured dresses. This is a mid weight boiled wool so we would recommend having a free sample to see if it is suitable for you project.

Boiled wool is not only suitable for dressmaking it is also a popular choice for curtains and soft furnishings.

This 100% wool serge fabric is ideal for dressmaking and craft. Primarily used for its accoustic absorbing properties, its durability and denseness make it ideal for dressmaking projects that require a structured finish such as a winter jacket.
