How To Make A Clutch Bag

A fun tutorial with beautiful results.

This tutorial takes a bit of concentration during assembly but, if you take some time to make sure you sew the layers together in the right order, the results are really satisfying! We have used magnetic bag clasps but hook and eyes or poppers would work just as well. We opted for curtain weight fabrics over dress weight to add a bit more structure to the bag but, if you don't mind a more slouchy appearance you can take your full pick of fabrics. Design Idea: Why not hack the pattern to a rectangle front rather than a triangle? This would also give you space to add a decorative finish such as embroidery or applique work.
